Accreditation

The Dalhousie MPAS program is approved by the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission under the Agency of the Council of Atlantic Premiers and the Dalhousie Senate to begin operations in the years prior to its eligibility for accreditation. The Commission assesses academic programs prior to implementation to ensure they meet agreed-upon standards and to provide quality assurances to students, governments, and the public.

The program is accountable to Dalhousie University, Faculty of Graduate Studies, and Faculty of Medicine as it must comply and adhere to regulations and policies established by the institution and each faculty.

The MPAS program is currently being evaluated for its eligibility to undergo accreditation under Accreditation Canada’s EQual program. It is anticipated that the program will complete its initial survey and earn accreditation status by 2027.
