How does it work?
Financial aid is available based on demonstrated financial need. To be considered for financial aid, you must complete the financial aid application.
Please note that many of the scholarships and awards also require the financial aid application to be completed.
Automatic consideration for financial aid
All students are automatically considered for financial aid each year, unless you specifically decline.
How to get started
- Log onto your DalMedix using your NetID and password
- On the homepage, select “MyApps – Scholarships/Awards”

Complete the required information in sections 1 through 10.
- only include outstanding debt directly related to your medical education
- average amounts are included for rent/mortgage, utilities, food, books, supplies and instruments
How to upload supporting documentation
To upload documents, click the ''Submit Documentation Here'' button and follow the instructions on how to log into Dalhousie's SharePoint server.
Once logged in, use the ''Add Document'' link to upload a document. You will be asked to select what the document applies to. This will be either Financial Aid (Step 1) or one of the awards that require further documentation.
The financial aid application is only available online (on DalMedix) from September 10 to Friday, September 30, 2016. APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME PERIOD.
The financial aid committee will meet near the end of November to determine the recipients of financial aid, which gets issued in cheque form.
