Adult and pediatric anesthesia care, perioperative medicine and pain management

We provide general, regional and local anesthesia care for all types of surgery and other procedures primarily at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, IWK Health, Dartmouth General Hospital and Hants Community Hospital in Nova Scotia. Our faculty also work in various hospitals across the Maritimes. We also offer pain management services to support thousands of people across the Maritime provinces in managing their chronic pain.

Our department members are active researchers and teachers at Dalhousie Medical School who have a keen interest in latest advances in anesthesia care. Medical students, residents and fellows benefit from a breadth of learning opportunities via our many clinical programs and services.
