Salus populi suprema lex esto - The health of the people should be the supreme law
I use inquisitive and directed learning strategies coupled with careful reasoning and analysis to study different facets of health. Documented contributions include the health of:
Individuals
I provided written testimony as an Expert Witness to assist the British Columbia Supreme Court in assessing cardiovascular risks of contraceptive hormones. The court found the epidemiologic reasoning in that testimony compelling enough to send the case to trial (see paragraphs 129, 142 and 143 of James v. Johnson & Johnson Inc).
The Canadian Public
I have written a report describing Canada’s pandemic preparedness system and arguing the pressing need for a national biosecurity strategy, published by the Centre for International Governance Innovation and in opinion pieces in national newspapers.
