Scholarly projects have long been required in physician training programs in Canada and the United States. While there is literature on challenges and solutions in delivering scholarly curricula, we found no publications describing residents’ topic choices.

This workshop is open to conference participants and specially invited guests. Hosted by the Canadian Collaboration for Immigrant and Refugee Health, we will share newly developed diabetes guidelines with an emphasis on culturally appropriate lifestyle interventions, digital support tools, and the role of semaglutide (Ozempic), a medicine poised for inclusion in the WHO Essential Medicines List.
