Training the next generation of family physicians

The Department of Family Medicine provides education to residents, medical students and family medicine professionals.

The two- or three-year residency program trains the next generation of family physicians with help from over 300 community-based and core faculty members in the three Maritime provinces and eight teaching sites. On the successful completion of residency, further third-year training opportunities in subspecialty programs are available.
