You are warmly invited to participate in an exciting pre-conference workshop as part of the upcoming International Refugee and Migrant Health Conference (IRMHC) 2025 in Halifax. This session will be of particular interest to family medicine professionals committed to advancing equitable care for immigrant and refugee populations.

This workshop is open to conference participants and specially invited guests. Hosted by the Canadian Collaboration for Immigrant and Refugee Health, we will share newly developed diabetes guidelines with an emphasis on culturally appropriate lifestyle interventions, digital support tools, and the role of semaglutide (Ozempic), a medicine poised for inclusion in the WHO Essential Medicines List.
Thanks to support from Diabetes Canada, we are honored to feature several inspiring keynote speakers and expert panelists. The day will center around practical implementation, real-world clinical practice, and how we can work together to reduce health inequities in diabetes care.
