Biography and research interests:
Dr. Brothers is a general internist and addiction medicine physician, and assistant professor of medicine. His clinical and research interests focus on improving health services for people with substance use disorders.
Dr. Brothers leads a research program incorporating social epidemiology, implementation science, health services research, and community-based participatory action research. He also helped to organize and implement Atlantic Canada's first overdose prevention site and first hospital-based addiction medicine consult service.
