Excellent research in a collaborative team environment

Faculty members in the Division of General Internal Medicine are engaged in clinical research mainly focusing on:

• end of life care
• outcome of care for heart failure
• hypertension and other multiple disease states
• simulation in medical education

Division members lead and participate in numerous clinical trials, particularly in relation to hypertension.

Many of our faculty members are recognized leaders in their research areas, for example, Dr. Stephen Workman in end of life care and Dr. Babar Haroon in the use of simulation in medical education.
