Resident Research
Publish your research
As a resident in our five-year training program, you'll complete two to three relevant research projects with a goal of one to two publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Residents are encouraged and supported to present their work at national meetings as well as at the annual Oncology Resident Research Day. Research submissions to and participation in funded conferences and educational courses are encouraged in PGY3, PGY4 and PGY5. Additional opportunities may be available as financial resources allow.
Both the Nova Scotia Community College and Saint John Regional Hospital actively participate in a variety of national and international clinical trials run through National Cancer Institute in Canada, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and private industry.
