Division of Cardiac Surgery

Providing the highest quality surgeries for our patients

The surgeons in the Division of Cardiac Surgery at Dalhousie University practice within the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax and Horizon Health in St. John for adult cardiac surgery, as well as the IWK Hospital for pediatric cardiac surgery. Our surgeons are dedicated to providing the highest quality and most innovative surgeries for our patients.

The surgeons at our institutions work closely with cardiologists, interventional radiologists and other members of the Heart Health Program to provide care for our patients that is safe, effective and compassionate.   The division is committed to continuous quality improvement and participates in a national outcomes database.
