The Division of Otolaryngology─Head and Neck Surgery at Dalhousie University is one of the top academic programs in the country and is recognized internationally for excellence in patient care, research and education. Our dedicated surgeons strive to provide the latest and most up-to-date surgical care for patients with various diseases of the face, head and neck. To provide this state-of-the-art care we routinely use a multidisciplinary approach with other specialists to maximize patient outcomes and improve functional results.
Our Otolarygngology─Head and Neck Surgery subspecialties are Pediatric Otolaryngology, Head & Neck, Laryngology, Rhinology, General Otolaryngology, Otology/Neurotology, and Facial Plastics and Reconstruction. Our subspecialty teams provide a full range of care in many areas, including:

Our residency program has a long history of providing residents with an outstanding training experience. As the only academic training program in Atlantic Canada, residents are exposed to a large volume of complex cases both in the clinic and the operating room. Residents are an integral component of maintaining the highest level of patient care and we pride ourselves in providing both trainees and patients with a unique and positive experience.
