Developing technologies to test ET function

We are interested in developing technologies to measure Eustachian tube (ET) opening and closing. The ET is the ventilation system of the middle ear, and is the root cause of many middle ear disorders.

To date, there are no satisfactory tests of ET function. We are interested in understanding the physical properties of the ET, and developing tests using sound transmission to detect its opening.
