Dalhousie's Division of Thoracic Surgery

Our Division comprises of 7 faculty members with expertise in diseases of the lungs, esophagus, mediastinum, chest wall and diaphragm.  We collaborate with multiple specialties with the goal of providing multidisciplinary personalized care for malignant and benign diseases.

We serve a combined mission as sole quaterny care provider for Thoracic Surgery in Nova Scotia and partner with Dalhousie University for education and research. Our vision is to be an innovator in Thoracic Surgery, provide excellence in education and be the research center for the Maritime Provinces. We aim to better serve our community based on our core values of transparency, accountability, teamwork and quality. We promote a supportive learning environment and foster mentorship with our learners.

Whereas, The Division of Thoracic Surgery through the Department of Surgery and Nova Scotia Health serve a combined mission as sole quaterny care thoracic surgery provider in Nova Scotia and partner to Dalhousie Unviersity for education and research.  Our vision is to become a provider and innovator for thoracic surgery, in addition to an education center of excellence and reaserch cnetre for the Maritime Provinces.  We aim to better serve our community based onour core values of transparency, accountability, teamwork and quality.  We promote a supportive learning environment iwth a commitment to maintain diversity and inclusion to reflect the members of our community.
