Dr. Keith Brunt, working in collaboration with Dr. Jeremy Simpson, a cardiorespiratory physiologist at the University of Guelph, to develop a new treatment that aims to improve outcomes after heart attack, and to prevent the development of heart failure.

Researchers from Dal's Faculties of Science and Medicine took home awards in three of the four major categories at the 14th annual Discovery Awards, which celebrate science, technology and innovation in Nova Scotia.
