The research partnership between Dr. Keith Brunt (Dalhousie University) and Dr. Jeremy Simpson (University of Guelph) began when they met in graduate school and is still going strong nearly twelve years later along with a team that now includes cardiologists and cardiac surgeons at the New Brunswick Heart Centre and collaborators both national and international.

With the news that Dr. Christine Chambers has been appointed as scientific director for the CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health, Dalhousie becomes one of only two universities in Canada to host two CIHR institutes.

Dalhousie Medical School is ready to welcome 16 additional undergraduate medical students over the next year, after a significant investment by the province of Nova Scotia.
