An initiative led by Dal students, faculty and volunteers, Soapbox Science took to the Halifax Seaport Market earlier this month to open minds and excite the public with research from some of the region’s most talented female scientists.
Nova Scotians will have access to more family doctors as six new residents began their training on Tuesday. The new North Nova Family Medicine Teaching Site in Truro welcomed the six residents with a lunch at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, featuring remarks from representatives from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia Health Authority, and the Honourable Randy Delorey, Minister of Health of Wellness.

The event pays respect to the more than 150 donors and families who, at some point in the past three years, chose to make the ultimate contribution to medical education and research by agreeing to donate one’s remains to benefit the medical science.
