Dr. Magda Horackova Student Research Award
Recognizing commitment and contributions to heart research
Dr. Magda Horackova was a member of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Dalhousie University from 1968 until her retirement in 2008. She was internationally known for her research in physiology.
In 1996 she received the Medical Research Council of Canada President's Award for maintaining uninterrupted research funding for 26 years, a true testament to the significance of her work.
The Dr. Magda Horackova Student Research Award was established by the DalCREW to recognize her commitment and her contributions to heart research, and is awarded at our annual Cardiac Research Day.
