Feb 28 - Mar 1, 2020. Halifax, NS. This year’s festival showcases 28 Films and brings back the HBFF Black Market and Community Program which include panel discussions and masterclasses. Festival-goers can also look forward to a great Kids Program. One of the highlight events is an initiative from The Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Youth & Diversity Program: Being Black in Canada.

March 6 & 7, 2020. Dalhousie University. PLANS, DBDLI and Imhotep’s Legacy Academy have come together to present the first annual Black Excellence in STEM and Health Research Symposium. This event builds on the momentum of two distinct gatherings of black researchers in 2019: The Black Research Symposium (PLANS) and the Black Excellence in STEM Conference (ILA).
