Summer Prosection Program

Dissection techniques

The Summer Prosection Program is offered to students of medicine, medical science, and dentistry. The goals of the program are to challenge the students by:

• emphasizing the importance of prosection for teaching purposes
• enhancing didactic and practical knowledge of gross anatomy
• helping to develop surgical skills

Students are hired by the Department of Medical Neuroscience during the summer months. Students may be experienced in dissection or they may have no experience. Under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Irena Rot, students learn dissection techniques and speed.
