As a resident or medical student, you'll have access to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, as well as our accredited subspecialty training program.
Our faculty members are expert educators and active medical education administrators. They deliver lectures, facilitate case based discussions and provide bedside teaching, but most of all, they act as mentors—supporting you so that you can achieve your best.
Undergraduate medical education
During your medical school training at Dalhousie, you’ll be introduced to the hematology subspecialty through:
- case-based discussions in Med 1 and 2
- elective and selective rotations in the Med 3 and 4 clerkship years
Rotating resident education
You’ll spend time rotating through the Division of Hematology as a resident in:
- internal medicine
- pathology
- nuclear medicine
- family medicine
- anesthesia
- radiation oncology
- neurology
You can also choose to narrow your focus by undertaking four-week hematology electives.
