Biography

Dr. Erin Gorman Corsten is an assistant professor of medicine who has a special interest in medical education. She is currently the program director of the Palliative Medicine Subspecialty Training Program. Dr. Gorman Corsten received her MD from Dalhousie University where she also completed her postgraduate training in family medicine and palliative care. Prior to studying medicine she earned a degree in occupational therapy, which she went on to both practise and teach.

Research interests

Dr. Gorman Corsten’s main areas of interest are in postgraduate education and curriculum development for competency-based education in palliative medicine. She is developing an online palliative care resource for family medicine and has interests in education focused on avoiding cognitive and medical error.
