Taking care of our community

With Eye Care Centres in the Victoria General site of the QEII Health Sciences Centre and the IWK Health Centre, we’re constantly working to provide excellent patient care to our patients. And we’re not just providing this care now, we’re also training the next generation of physicians and surgeons to provide the best possible care in the future.

Adult care

Our physicians, surgeons and residents provide accessible care to adults in a state-of-the-art facility. This facility features the modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment required for specialized care of patients with vitreo-retinal disorders, corneal diseases, neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma, and accommodates approximately 35,000 patients a year.

Pediatric care

We also provide care to children, through the Eye Clinic in the IWK Health Centre. This facility allows us to provide a single point of care and service for over 8,000 patients and their families every year.
