Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in Canada. It is an age-related disease that can lead to gradual vision loss and potential blindness if not detected and treated. As our elderly population continues to grow, glaucoma will become a more significant public health challenge in the future.
Our researchers are focused on:
- Gaining insights into disease progression
- Devising new tests to diagnose and monitor the disease
- Developing novel therapeutic approaches, drug delivery systems and surgical techniques
