Biography

Dr. Tanya Gillan is the Clinical Director of the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, NSH and Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology. She is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists with dual certification in clinical molecular genetics and clinical cytogenetics.

Dr. Gillan has a clinical and research interest in hematological malignancies including AML, MDS and CLL. In addition, Dr. Gillan is an advocate for optimizing testing strategies and ensuring appropriate test utilization in line with best practices and in collaboration with clinical colleagues. She also loves teaching and enjoys sharing her love and knowledge of the field of human genetics and molecular pathology with students and trainees.
