About

A wealth of opportunity

The Department of Pathology combines strengths in clinical service, education and research. With over 50 clinical faculty members, our department plays an essential role in the diagnosis of disease, as well as the management of blood products.

Our faculty are engaged in teaching the underlying basis of disease across all levels within the undergraduate medical program, as well as in residency programs and graduate programs

With many of our faculty engaged in active research programs, and with over 30 graduate students, our department is committed to advancing fundamental, translational and clinical research. Our department acts as a crossing point with many collaborative research programs that combine clinical and fundamental research.

Sharing our knowledge

Our department also serves a number of functions for the scientific and medical communities. As a clinical- and research-based department, we’re pleased to offer histology research services to departmental and non-departmental faculty, researchers, technicians, residents and students.
