Join Our Lab
Get involved
Apply to work in the Autism Research Centre (ARC) and you’ll participate in ground-breaking studies. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to develop and strengthen your research skills, while enjoying a cooperative and intellectually stimulating work environment.
Employment opportunities
Please refer to the IWK/NSHealth jobs website for potential employment opportunities at the ARC.
Volunteer opportunities
We welcome undergraduate students from fields such as psychology and neuroscience who want to gain experience in a clinical research lab. Many of our volunteers go on to develop independent research projects for credit, conduct honours thesis research, and/or apply to graduate or professional studies in fields such as clinical psychology, school psychology, speech-language pathology and medicine.
Graduate students
Many opportunities are available for graduate students to become involved in the Autism Research Centre (ARC). ARC faculty members have been primary supervisors for graduate students in the Dalhousie University Clinical Psychology Program and have supervised comprehensive projects for students in clinical and in developmental psychology. Several students from the Mount Saint Vincent University School Psychology Program and the Dalhousie Human Communication Disorders Program have also conducted projects in the ARC.
Undergraduate and medical students
We welcome inquiries from qualified undergraduate science and medical students interested in independent research projects.
