About
Dr. David Volders is an Academic Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiologist at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax and Associate Professor at Dalhousie University. He is also Sub-Section Head, Interventional Neuroradiology and Neuroradiology Program Director.
Dr. Volders has developed a robust practice across the entire spectrum of Interventional Neuroradiology. His clinical expertise is complemented by his active involvement in innovative research, particularly regarding ischemic stroke. Dr. Volders is the site-PI for several international stroke trials. He is also Co-Applicant on CIHR funding totaling over $1Million.
Dr. Volders has published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He has co-authored national clinical practice guidelines on stroke imaging and treatment as well as brain and spine imaging. He will also be the next co-chair of the Canadian Stroke Best Practice Guidelines.
