About

Dr. Kathleen MacMillan is a Diagnostic Radiology resident at Dalhousie University. Originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Dr. MacMillan is also a licensed clinical pharmacist who completed her BSc. Pharm at Dalhousie University in 2019.

Dr. MacMillan has held leadership roles at the local, national, and international levels. She currently serves as Past-Chair and Education Subcommittee Lead of the Canadian Association of Radiologists’ Resident and Fellow Section (RFS), President of Maritime Resident Doctors, and Board Director with both Resident Doctors of Canada and the Canadian Radiological Foundation. She also serves on the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and has represented residents through the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada’s Distributed Medical Education Network and the Canadian Association of Radiologists’ Board of Directors, as well as through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s International Conference on Residency Education (ICRE) Program Advisory Committee and Fellowship Affairs Committee.

She also serves as Co-President for Life of the Dalhousie Medicine Class of 2023 and contributes to several committees within the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine.

Outside of medicine, she recently became a new mother and enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and dog, visiting family in Miramichi, and staying active through spin classes.
