Pediatric Neurosurgery is the specialty of surgery dedicated to the diagnosis, surgical and nonsurgical management of congenital abnormalities, trauma and diseases affecting the nervous system, its blood supply, and supporting structures. We strive to obtain the best possible outcome for each patient and their family, working collaboratively with allied health as well as other medical and surgical specialists who have pediatric expertise.

Patients are evaluated and followed as needed in the outpatient clinic. Children who require hospitalization will stay on the Medical Surgical Neurosciences Unit (MSNU), the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), depending on their circumstances and care needs. Commonly used investigations would include diagnostic imaging such as MRI, CT and x-ray.
