It’s the perfect learning opportunity: you’ll have the chance to ask your own questions and learn from the questions posed by your peers.

Objectives:
1. To understand the changing paradigms in modern surgical training, as it has evolved throughout history.
2. To describe the purpose and intention of competence-based medical education (CBME), and entrustable professional activities (EPAs).
3. To understand where the intention of Competence by Design (CBD) has diverged from the lived experience in surgical training.
4. To consider the future of competence-based training paradigms in surgical programs in Canada.
