Welcome to DMNB. Our office of faculty development strives to support and enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of faculty members’ roles as teachers.

Our mandate: To support faculty at all teaching levels through a province-wide distributed delivery model.

Supporting our teaching faculty by:

  • Effective, well-supported onboarding to the Faculty of Medicine's processes and policies
  • Onboarding that supports teachers throughout their career, from new to experienced
  • Developing programming that addresses identified priorities
  • Identifying site- and department-level faculty development needs
  • Offering provincial faculty development needs
  • Providing a mix of in-person, virtual, and asynchronous online learning resources

The DMNB Faculty Onboarding Program streamlines and supports the engagement, recruitment, and preparation of New Brunswick faculty. Supported by a new role with focus and dedication to faculty needs, the program guides individuals from initial inquiry through administrative processes and role transition, ensuring a clear and supportive onboarding experience.
