Onboarding to DMNB ‑ Process and Policy

Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick’s (DMNB) Faculty Onboarding Program supports faculty through inquiry, recruitment, gaining a faculty appointment and role transitions.

The Office of Faculty Affairs will:

  • support you in identifying teaching opportunities that match your interests
  • provide faculty appointment documents to be completed
  • guidance in submitting the required faculty appointment documents
  • notify you once the appointment has been approved
  • provide your Dalhousie University credentials and guidance in accessing digital platforms (curriculum, learner evaluation tools, payroll, library access and support)
  • Ongoing support and point of contact for questions or assistance related to your role(s).

How to obtain a faculty appointment with Dalhousie University, Faculty of Medicine?
The Office of Faculty Affairs DMNB will be assist in the completion and submission of all forms required to obtain a faculty appointment. The necessary documents and clear guidance will be provided to facilitate an efficient and timely process.

How long does it take to complete the faculty appointment application?
While this process can sometimes feel lengthy alongside existing demands, the total time required is estimated at approximately 10 -30 minutes.

Who will guide me throughout this process?
The DMNB Office of Faculty Affairs will provide support and guidance throughout the entire Onboarding to DMNB process with dedicated attention to the faculty appointment process.
