Program Overview

Co-created by the Faculty of Medicine Alumni Office and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Medicine Mentorship Program is a fantastic way for students to connect with MD alumni in a one-on-one conversation. This is an opportunity to receive advice and insight into the field of medicine and grow their professional network. Above and beyond specializations, the mentorship program helps students build a meaningful professional relationship with an experienced physician.

New in 2024: 2SLGBTQIA+ Mentorship Program  

Dalhousie Medical students proudly launch a mentorship program tailored for 2SLGBTQIA+ medical students, with emphasis on the individual journeys of current physicians. This supportive network of mentors consists of empathetic faculty, and inspiring residents. With their focus and dedication to current medical students, they offer not only their experiences and guidance but a celebration of Queer identity.

This student led initiative is more than a space for connections; it is a community of resilience, where students find a space to thrive as their authentic selves. This program is a catalyst of change and seeks to amplify Queer voices.

Join this mentorship program if you are a 2SLGBTQIA+ medical student at Dalhousie and are looking to make lasting connections in the community of physicians and residents. This is a safe(r) space dedicated for individual growth, authenticity and shared stories of failures and triumphs.
