Community Engagement Day

A Celebration of Community Engagement in Dalhousie’s Faculty of Medicine

Welcome to Community Engagement Day!

Community Engagement Day celebrates values that are important to our Faculty—social accountability, equity, diversity and inclusion, collaboration, and community partnership. This annual event brings together students, staff, faculty, residents, and community partners to showcase and strengthen the relationships that are shaping healthier, more equitable communities—locally and globally.

Through interactive poster displays, the community partner showcase, the Dr. Tarunendu Ghose Visiting Scholar in Global Health, and a special awards ceremony, the event highlights diverse initiatives in community engagement, global health, and social accountability. It is an opportunity to:

  • Share and explore impactful projects led by students
  • Recognize leadership and contributions across our academic and community networks
  • Spark meaningful conversations about the shared challenges and opportunities we face in advancing health equity and,
  • Deepen partnerships between the university and community organizations through knowledge exchange and celebration

Join us as we shine a light on the people, ideas, and collaborations that drive lasting change.
