Resident Research Awards
Our annual Resident Research Awards event takes place ever June.
The Resident Research Awards, hosted annually by the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University, celebrate excellence in scholarly work conducted by postgraduate medical trainees.
These awards recognize outstanding contributions across a range of categories including basic science, clinical research, quality improvement, and leadership.
Residents are nominated by their departments following departmental research days, with submissions evaluated by a panel of judges using a standardized rubric.
Winners are honored at a formal reception each June, which also serves as a platform to highlight the academic achievements of residents and foster a culture of research within the medical education community.
The awards are supported by institutional partners such as the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation and CSCI/CIHR, and are accompanied by monetary prizes and formal certificates.
