Antigonish

Antigonish is a close-knit community where relationships are at the heart of both care and learning. At St. Martha’s and in surrounding clinics, you’ll get to know patients over time and see how care fits into their daily lives. The smaller setting makes it easy to be involved and feel like part of the team.

St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish serves as the primary academic hub for the Antigonish LIC Program, hosting most  specialties and hospital-based learning experiences. Learners are part of a supportive and collaborative healthcare community serving Antigonish County.

Your longitudinal Family Medicine experience may be based in Antigonish or in a nearby community, giving you the opportunity to experience community-based care in a range of settings.
