Biography

Dr. Amanda Smitheram is an Assistant Professor and anesthesiologist working in the Department of Anesthesia at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Dr. Smitheram is passionate about medical education, having been the past education coordinator for anesthesia in her department, and is currently pursuing a degree in medical education. She has been involved in numerous teaching activities at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick and is involved with clinical teaching of medical students and residents. Dr. Smitheram also has an interest in simulation, having completed the Royal College Simulation Educators Training (SET) program, and is involved with the development of both obstetric and operating room simulation sessions at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
