Research interests

Dr. Vlatten’s areas of clinical and research include cardiac anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, pediatric critical care and pediatric airway management. His current focus is on different airway tools for the normal and simulated difficult pediatric airway.

Biography

Prior to joining Dalhousie University in 2006, Dr. Vlatten held clinical and academic positions in the Department of Cardiac Anesthesia at the University of Ulm in Germany. He is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, Association of Low Flow Anesthesia and the German Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine.
