Biography

Dr. Kenneth West is professor in the Division of Nephrology, and is a long-time researcher and educator. He is a past president of the Canadian Society of Transplantation and twice chaired its national meeting. He has been a long-time member of the Transplantation Society’s research committee, and served as program chair of the Transplantation Society Basic Science Meeting and its key opinion leaders meeting.

Research interests

Dr. West’s research focused for 20 years on basic mechanisms of immunology, studying the interaction of dendritic cells and lymphocytes. More recently, his research has shifted to include clinical studies in kidney transplantation and immunologically mediated renal diseases.
