Graduate Programs
Taking your education to the next level
If you’re a graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree, a master’s or a PhD in microbiology or immunology could supply you with the tools you need to become a knowledgeable, experienced research-based scientist. You'll build practical skills in this program by:
- conducting research
- competing for national and provincial fellowship funding
- participating in departmental seminars
- being part of a lab research team composed of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, other graduate students and undergraduate honours students
A strong background for a promising future
At the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, we offer a MSc program and a PhD program. As part of your degree, you’ll be expected to pursue independent research that will be the foundation for a thesis. Both of these programs offer the flexibility of either full-time or part-time study.
