QEII welcomes the first GE StarGuide SPECT‑CT scanner in Canada.

The first patients were scanned on this CZT ring-detector scanner in June 2024, and a second StarGuide will be installed in 2025. These state-of-the-art scanners provide important benefits in imaging of cardiac disease, cancer, and many other conditions, and facilitate theranostic applications.
