QEII welcomes the first GE StarGuide SPECT‑CT scanner in Canada.

The first patients were scanned on this CZT ring-detector scanner in June 2024, and a second StarGuide will be installed in 2025. These state-of-the-art scanners provide important benefits in imaging of cardiac disease, cancer, and many other conditions, and facilitate theranostic applications. They have been funded by the generous support of donors through the QEII Foundation. Click here to learn more.
