Dr. Stan Kutcher, a professor in Dalhousie Medical School's Department of Psychiatry, has been named to the Senate of Canada. He'll serve as an independent senator representing Nova Scotia.

Dalhousie immunology professor Dr. Jean Marshall has captured Canada's top academic prize in her field, the Bernhard Cinader Award. She is the first Dalhousie faculty member to receive the award, given annually by the Canadian Society for Immunology.

A group of Dalhousie Engineering students are working in collaboration with the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine to develop a state of the art, app-controlled rear anti-tipping device (RAD) for manual wheelchairs.
