Tutor Development Program
PROGRAM GOAL | Prepare Faculty for teaching roles, develop skills to enhance teaching experience and improve student experiences and outcomes. |
PURPOSE | New Brunswick-based Faculty are fundamental in the delivery of Dalhousie University’s Undergraduate Medical Curriculum. The first and second year undergraduate medical curriculum requires Faculty to lead and deliver case-based and skills-based teaching sessions. The Tutor Development Program provides an opportunity for Faculty to gain new teaching skills and further develop existing skills. Faculty will be asked to review online program modules a minimum of one week of their respective unit start date. Review of the Tutor Development modules will include completion of a final program evaluation via Opinio; this will help ensure tutor remuneration, as well as allow faculty the opportunity to provide feedback on the overall program. |
