Application Scoring

How is my application scored?

Members of the Admissions Committee review and assess the supplemental form and essay components of each applicant's file. In the file review, members of the Admissions Committee also assign up to 5 points at their discretion, for outstanding features, achievements or applicant's qualities for the medical profession.  These are combined with the academic (GPA and MCAT) and interview score to arrive at a total application score. Decisions are made based on total score, and positions are filled based on each provincial quota.

Application Component Score
GPA 15 points
MCAT 10 points
Supplemental and Essay 30 points
Interview 40 points
Discretionary 5 points
Total 100 points
