Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check Information

As part of your training at Dalhousie Medicine, all incoming students must provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check. Please see below for information on how to do this.

For learners residing in the Halifax Regional Municipality:

To obtain your Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Record Check please click HERE. You will register for an account and follow the on-screen prompts.

*Note:  when you receive your CRC, your VSC will arrive within 5 business days with a validation code. Upload this code to the myBackCheck platform and consent to share it with Dalhousie.

Upload your CRC and VSC to DalMedix. You will have access to DalMedix in mid-June and will be notified. 

Learners outside of the HRM:

To obtain your CRC/VSC visit your local Police Department or RCMP Detachment.
