Education
Training excellence in cancer management
When you enroll in the Division of Medical Oncology’s two-year residency training program, you benefit from a highly regarded curriculum and atmosphere that, together, offer a superb training ground for your future career.
As a medical student, you’ll be exposed to the field of medical oncology along the entire continuum of your education—from your pre-clinical years through to your clerkship years. If you’re undertaking an elective or selective, you’ll rotate through the division on a regular basis. While on rotation, you’ll not only gain clinical experience, you’ll also be encouraged to participate in educational events such as oncology grand rounds and division rounds.
Keeping people informed
Our division members also work closely with Cancer Care Nova Scotia to deliver continuing medical education and to provide members of the public with current and factual information about cancer, its causes and treatments.
