About
Excellent clinical, learning and research environment in adult respirology
Medical students and residents wanting to study the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the respiratory system will find an ideal learning environment in the Division of Respirology at Dalhousie University. A regional tertiary care service, strong commitment to education and active involvement in research programs combine as a solid foundation for graduating highly competent respirologists.
Our division offers a two-year subspecialty residency program in adult respirology, provides elective opportunities to residents in other disciplines and participates in Dalhousie Medical School’s undergraduate curriculum. Our subspecialty residency program is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and follows completion of core internal medicine training.
Students and residents will be trained by a small and dedicated cadre of clinician educators who are primarily based at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Our division also includes two respirologists based at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
