Curriculum
Challenging and rewarding individualized program
Within the sub-specialty training program, there are 4-5 hours of scheduled teaching per week, including:
- physical examination skills
- small group teaching
- x-ray rounds
- journal clubs
- case rounds
- formal lectures
We supplement the scheduled teaching sessions with multiple educational rounds and one half-day of protected time each week for a dedicated teaching curriculum specific to your interest(s), plus time for other academic pursuits. If you're interested in teaching, you'll have the opportunity to teach musculoskeletal clinical skills or case-based learning tutorials to medical students.
You'll also attend a longitudinal clinic that allows for supervised follow-up of your own patients. Additional opportunities will include rotations in:
- medical education
- clinical dermatology & cutaneous science
- neurology
- radiology
- pediatric rheumatology
- community rheumatology
- orthopedic surgery
- plastic surgery
