Honours

As a student enrolled in this 120-credit BSc (Hons.) in Microbiology and Immunology, you’ll devote time to intensive study and research. You must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and complete an honours research project. If you’re planning to pursue a graduate program in microbiology & immunology, this is the best option for you.

Combined honours

This honours program is also comprised of 20 credits, but it provides the flexibility to combine your microbiology & immunology education with other related subjects. Although the combined honours requires approval from both departments involved, it can generally include any subject from the Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Major

Another 20-credit program, the BSc in Microbiology & Immunology will provide you with the core knowledge you’ll need to specialize in microbiology and immunology. It’s a rigorous course of study that will expose you to all areas of the subject, but is slightly less demanding than the honours degree.
